After the interesting turn of events in 2020, yes the surprise of the global pandemic, I want to set myself up for success in 2021 — So I’m laying out my goals and sharing them openly for added accountability!

Goal 1: Read 12 books

I go through sprints of reading — I’ll either be devouring book after book or it’ll be a barren wasteland of no books for months. I want to fix that this year by introducing consistency.

I plan to read 12 books throughout the year, one book per month.

There is no restriction on the styles or length of book, just whatever my brain wants to read.

I’m excited to start working my way through the book collection, I’ve been an avid follower of the Japanese Tsundoku, the act of collecting lots of books without the intention to read them, for a while now!

Goal 2: Get back to dating

2020 was officially the worst year for dating I’ve ever experienced, but I’m ready to hit the ground running in 2021 and meeting some new interesting people!

I won’t be going to any in-personal dates for the next few weeks (aka months) due to how bad the COVID pandemic is in the UK — It’s just not worth the risk at the moment.

However I’m not letting that stop me! I’ve already setup, okay fine — reactivated my online dating profiles and updated my profiles to some recent photos. I’m excited to meet new interesting people in 2021!

Goal 3: 6 big events

Due to social distancing and self isolating for most of 2020, I haven’t been to any ‘big’ events in almost a year and I’m very much looking forward to getting back to festivals, gigs, museum trips and long weekends away.

I have a short list of potential places but I don’t want to commit to anything just yet as the COVID situation is quite bad at the moment — but the moment we have vaccines I’ll be ready!

Goal 4: Embrace my creativity!

I’ve been making YouTube videos for a few weeks now and I love making them as I find the process really fun and interesting — I love learning how to get better at editing, writing outlines, making thumbnails, it’s a blast!

I’ll be doing a lot more of this in 2021, I’ve got a lot to share, so make sure you’re subscribed to my YouTube channel!
